Researched Deals is "A community that sends the best deals for you, to you".
I know there are so many deals out there I'm missing. We usually rely on someone in our network to share their awesome findings with us, or we know we'll look into a specific deal our-self when we have time. Time, that never seems to arrive.
Researched Deals is a project that is partially crowd sourced, where I provide you evidence based suggestions on how to save money. Every month you'll get a form with the top research projects that you're interested in, and you pick the one you want researched. Once the research is complete, or when appropriate (sometimes it relies on certain optimal dates), I will send you an email with simple details and graphs -- and a link to the stats/research if you're interested, so you can validate yourself.
It's $9/month to join this community, the prices subject to change at any time for new members, but you will be locked in at whatever price you join at. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Privacy: I collect what information you choose to provide me. Say for example, the popular broadband internet form; I ask you to tell me which plan you have and with who, as then I can update you when a better deal comes along. For example, if you're on a Shaw or Telus 1/2 price deal, they usually only last 6 months. At the 5 month mark, I'd likely send you a reminder to switch, and give you a list of your options, with the cheapest at the top. This move alone could save you $138/year, which makes you happy, and ensures this service provides you the most value. If you choose not to tell me your ISP in this example, you'll still get the general price updates when they come out (which will likely not be as timely or optimal, or save you as much money).
I also provide the community generalized stats with the newsletter, so they can research deals and get paid for it. For example, x amount of members use Shaw, y amount of members use Telus, and z members use Teksavvy, and they're looking for the best internet deal. This might incentivize another member, or even a competing ISP to offer a groundbreaking deal to our members. This service is all opt-in, you don't have to provide any personal information to us.
